Trees and hedging plants planted
Turning a planting plan into work on the ground.
Premier Forestry Ltd provides tree planting contracting for new woodland. If you have a woodland creation plan, a proposed site or an agreed scheme ready for planting, speak to Will about the work involved.
East Yorkshire is the centre of our service area, with projects also considered across the wider North East. Send your site location and planting brief so we can discuss access, timing and a quotation.
What to include in a woodland planting enquiry
A clear brief helps us understand the job. Useful details include:
A site map and the area you intend to plant.
Your planting layout, species mix and intended tree numbers.
Site access and existing ground conditions.
The tree protection specified in your planting plan.
Your intended planting window and any scheme agreement dates.
If some of those details are still being worked out, tell us what you know. We can start by discussing the planting work you expect to need.
England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO)
EWCO is the Forestry Commission’s scheme supporting eligible new woodland in England. It can contribute to establishment work and longer-term maintenance. Its requirements include a woodland creation plan meeting the UK Forestry Standard.
Read how EWCO works and the EWCO application guidance for eligibility, timescales and the approved specification. Once your planting brief is clear, contact Premier Forestry about a contractor quotation.
Local tree planting schemes: Humber Forest
Humber Forest provides a regional route to tree and hedgerow planting support. East Riding of Yorkshire Council describes its work with landowners across Hull, East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, including funding for eligible planting and establishment.
Contact the scheme directly to check your site’s eligibility and how delivery is arranged. See the council’s Humber Forest information. These links help you explore funding; any appointment of Premier Forestry is a separate discussion about your planting work.
Planning support and planting delivery
The Woodland Creation Planning Grant (WCPG) supports the preparation of qualifying woodland design plans. Planning support and permission to plant are separate stages; the Forestry Commission’s WCPG guidance explains the scheme.
Our service is the planting contract. Bring your agreed design, planting specification and any relevant conditions to the quotation discussion so the scope of work is clear.
Woodland planting or a new hedgerow?
Tree planting schemes and hedgerow schemes have different purposes. For a new farm boundary or work joining existing hedges, explore our BN11 hedge planting page. If your project includes both woodland and hedges, tell us about both when you enquire.

Before work starts
Guidance checked 7 October 2026. Under EWCO, work can only begin once an agreement is in place. Confirm the conditions and timing with your scheme provider before arranging the planting.
Read the current EWCO guidance.
Your land. A long-term view.
Talk to us about the next planting project on your farm or estate.
From a new woodland to a connecting hedgerow, tell us where your site is and what you want to establish.
Can I discuss woodland planting before all the details are decided?
Yes. Share your proposed site, approximate planting area and what you know so far. We can discuss the planting work you expect to need. Funding eligibility, permissions and scheme approvals should be confirmed with the relevant provider.
